U10/12 Houseleague – 8 -11 year olds with previous LTS or moderate skating experience

Mississauga Ringette Association’s (MRA)  house league program is a great way to introduce young players to the competitive aspects of sport. Our program often serves as the spring board to rep “B”, “A” and “AA” participation. The focus of this program is on skills development, as well as learning the rules of the game.  Coaches and senior level players provide skill instruction. The emphasis is on having fun. 

Participants in this program will learn:

  • the basics of playing Ringette
  • more advanced techniques through drills and scrimmage/game play

The program includes:

  • 2 hours per week of ice time (1 practice + 1 game weekly).  
  • powerskating sessions led by a certified skating instructor. 
  • The program runs weekly from mid-September – mid-March, including playoffs and year end party.
  • Practices are on Wednesday nights at 7 PM at Meadowvale Arena
  • Games are on Friday nights at either 6 PM or 7 PM at Iceland areana (times rotate weekly)

Fees:
Program fees For NEW Players starting in January are:

$200* including equipment rental
$160* if equipment is not required


*Non-residents of Mississauga are subject to a $35 surcharge.

Our focus next season will be:

  • To develop skating, motor skills and self-esteem
  • Introduce players to team work and team spirit
  • Increase strength and coordination
  • Time management skills
