Come Try Ringette
Submitted By Fred Ibrahimsha on Thursday, May 12, 2016
This is a reminder about our first Learn to Skate & Come Try Ringette Event this Saturday May 14th and we would truly appreciate your help inviting your neighbors, friends and family to attend.

The CTR is going to be held at Tomken Arena (Rink 2). Address: 4495 Tomken Rd, Mississauga ON L4W 1J9

Here is the agenda for the morning:

9:30 am - Arrival and registration for the CTR event
9:45am-10:45 am- Children will do crafts with MRA volunteers and have a snack- and parents will attend an information session hosted by our Convenors. During this time; several of our players will have a chance to speak about what ringette has done for them personally & why they love the sport. Many times, this testimonial is why new children are registered to play!
10:45am-11:00a- Children will be fitted for equipment - should they need to borrow some that day- and they will get dressed.
11:00am-12:10pm- all volunteers & CTR children will go on the ice. Typically we sort the children into groups by size & skill & our different coaches will then work with the children. We like to showcase some of our ringette skills, and play some games. Some new skaters will need assistance on the ice. So we are definitely looking for on-ice volunteers!
12:10 pm- wrap-up- and REGISTRATION of new players: Equipment Rental Program kicks off!
Best Part:
CostFREE for all who want to come & try this great sport!
Register and choose Ontario/ Mississauga

So: we are looking for volunteers to help with crafts/snack & some to help on the ice! The new players love to meet our ringette players and if we have time we will try and show them how good our girls can skate!
Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and let me know if you would like to help on ice or off ice!
Our next Come Try Ringette day will be in September 2016, a date TBD.
Thank you in advance for your assistance! We look forward to seeing some of you there & hopefully allot of our players too!
