The Legends of Ringette will come together in Richmond Hill

As a kick off to the 50th Ringette season, Richmond Hill Ringette Association will host a Legends of the Game Reunion Day on Sunday September 29th at Elgin Barrow Arena at 2:30pm.   http://www.arenamaps.com/arenas/164.htm 


A game featuring National Team athletes and coaches from the past will be at the center of the festivities. The Legends Game will feature athletes who competed in World Ringette Championships between 1992 and 2010.

 Confirmed for the event so far are:
Lyndsay Wheelans, Beth Hurren, Karen Duguay, Sarah (Miller) Ianni, Bonnie Nagata, Jennifer Wakefield , Sharolyn Wouters & Meghan Pittaway.  

The group is currently reaching out to more athletes to compete in this event to complete two full rosters. The full list will be revealed to the media the week prior to the event.   

If you know of any athletes who competed in past World Ringette Championship and who might be interested in taking part in this event please let us know! Contact Richmond Hill Ringette association by email at: [email protected].   

The cost to attend the Legends game will be $7.00. Free entry will be granted to athletes wearing their ringette jersey.  The event will be general admission seating and tickets will be available at the door. 

In addition to the Legends game, this 50th Anniversary celebration day will also feature a Come Try  Ringette Event, Skills clinics and a U14 feature game. 

Schedule: 

12:00-1:00: U14 Exhibition Game: Richmond Hill Lightning vs. Ajax Shooting Stars 

1:00-1:45: Come Try Ringette Event  

1:45-2:30: U10 Skills Clinic

  

2:30-4:00: Legends Game

  4:00-5:00: U12 Skills Clinic

This day full day of events will also feature the 50th Anniversary Road Show Activation Zone which includes target shooting, trivia and prizes as well as appearances by the official mascots of Ringette: Samantha Belle and Junior Jacks.
